The wholesale business is worthy of the designation ‘big’. Because Metaleuven also has an extensive iron warehouse where professionals and private individuals can go for wire, wrought iron, fence posts and post heads, grilles and stair treads, among other things ... But they will find much more in the shop. The wholesaler also offers numerous accessories and supplies, such as padlocks and security fittings, letterbox systems, storage bins, industrial soaps, industrial hoovers, building and furniture fittings, high-pressure cleaners, key systems and locks, glues, transpalettes, spray paints, lubricants and grease, brushes, chains and cables, pictograms and signs, coatings, abrasives, work clothing, ladders and scaffolding, wheels, maintenance articles and safety articles.

Builders and renovators can go to Metaleuven not only for everything to do with building and renovation. The wholesaler's total package also includes gardening materials, even large household appliances, cookware, tableware and kitchen electronics. Thomas Verlaenen: “The large household appliances are delivered and installed free of charge by the company's own technician.” In May 2014, the wholesaler opened a second branch in Mechelen. “We were keen to expand our expertise and years of experience to serve even more customers,” Verlaenen says. “In Mechelen we have built a beautiful shop, there is actually more than 3,700 m² of retail space where the better brands can be found.”

At the service of customers
Interestingly, Metaleuven and Metamechelen have their own repair service for large household appliances as well as an efficient after-sales service for the entire range. Thomas Verlaenen: “For large household appliances, we have our own technicians on the road. And we have defective tools and machines repaired by the manufacturer itself. In short: we try to be a real partner to our customers. Not only by offering a complete range, but also by providing the necessary support after the sale! In case of more difficult questions, our sales departments are ready every day to help customers with their projects and provide them with the necessary expert explanations. In our iron warehouse, we realise customised projects, which can be fully technically drawn by our own staff. We also try to regularly provide our staff with new or additional training on different product groups because we like to convey the right information to the customer.”
